Hey friends 👋
I’ve been trading on and off for a few years now, but 2025 has really kept me on my toes. Between macro volatility, sudden alt pumps, and bots everywhere, I feel like the usual playbook doesn’t always apply anymore.
Curious to know — what’s working for you lately?
Are you:
-
Still doing TA with the classics (RSI, MACD, Fibonacci, etc.)?
-
Relying more on on-chain data or sentiment analysis?
-
Following narratives (like AI tokens, RWA, etc.) or sticking to majors?
-
Using bots, copy trading, or doing it all manually?
Personally, I’ve been leaning more into trend-following with tight risk management — small wins, fewer over-leveraged mistakes. I used to scalp more aggressively, but lately that’s just burned me out. Also starting to experiment with some AI-based signal tools, but still early days there.
Would love to hear about your approach — especially if you’ve found something that’s kept you consistently profitable (or at least less stressed 😅).
Let’s compare notes and maybe help each other level up. Charts, thoughts, wins or Ls — all welcome!
Hey, great post — totally feel you on how unpredictable 2025 has been 😅
I’ve also been trading a while, and honestly this year’s been one of the weirdest. Some of my old strategies still work, but I’ve definitely had to adapt. Here’s what’s been working (or not working) for me lately:
✅ What’s Working
-
I’ve shifted toward narrative-based swing trades. Stuff like AI tokens, RWAs, or anything with a strong narrative + decent liquidity.
-
Still using TA basics (EMA crossovers, RSI divergences), but only as confirmation — not the whole strategy.
-
On-chain data has been 🔑 for spotting early trends (love tools like Lookonchain and Dune dashboards).
-
Partial exits have saved my sanity. Taking profits along the way rather than trying to hit a home run every time.
❌ What’s Not Working
-
Overtrading on low timeframes. Too many fakeouts, and bots always seem one step ahead.
-
Blindly following influencers or copy trading accounts — learned the hard way to trust my own system more.
-
Chasing pumps. Still happens sometimes, but I’ve made peace with letting some runners go.
I’m also testing some AI signal tools like you — nothing magic yet, but interesting for filtering noise and spotting patterns I’d miss manually.
One thing that’s helped me stay profitable is keeping tight risk/reward setups — even if I lose 2 trades, one good one can balance it out. And journaling trades has been a game-changer for spotting my own bad habits.
