I recently staked some ATOM using the Keplr wallet for the first time. The transaction went through, and the tokens are showing as “bonded” — but I haven’t seen any rewards show up after 24 hours.
Is this normal for the Cosmos network? Do rewards take a while to appear, or is there something I might’ve missed (like manually claiming, or needing to delegate to a different validator)?
Also, does staking through Keplr require leaving your wallet open or connected in any way for rewards to be generated?

Totally normal — rewards on the Cosmos network don’t usually appear instantly. It can take 12–24 hours (sometimes a bit more) for the first rewards to show up after you delegate. After that, they’ll accrue pretty regularly (roughly every block, so every few seconds), but the dashboard might only update periodically depending on the validator or interface.
A few quick things to know:

You don’t need to keep Keplr open or stay connected. Once you’ve delegated, the staking is happening on-chain — your wallet just interacts with it.

Rewards aren’t auto-claimed. You’ll need to manually claim them when you want to, which is good because claiming too often means spending more gas.

Validator matters! If the validator you picked is inactive or has a high commission, that can affect your rewards. Make sure they're active and not jailed.
You’re all good — just give it a little time and check back later. If you still don’t see anything after a full day or two, you can always double-check your delegation on a block explorer like Mintscan.
