Hey miners 👋

Curious to hear how everyone’s holding up in the current mining landscape. I’ve been running a few ASICs out of my garage since 2021, and while the ride's been bumpy (hello electricity bills 😅), it’s still been a fascinating journey.

Lately, though, I’ve been wondering: with rising energy costs, network difficulty climbing, and big industrial farms dominating more of the hashrate — is small-scale or home mining still worth it?

Some thoughts/questions I’ve been kicking around:

  • Are there still decent margins if you’re not getting wholesale electricity rates?

  • Anyone here experimenting with immersion cooling or solar setups to stay efficient?

  • How’s everyone managing heat and noise in suburban setups?

  • And is it even realistic anymore to ROI on newer models like the S21 or WhatsMiner M60?

I know the spirit of mining has always been about decentralization and supporting the network — but is that still achievable on a budget in 2025?

Would love to hear what others are doing, especially solo miners or folks running small ops. Are you adapting or scaling back?

Let’s talk hashrate, wattage, and wild ideas 💡
