Absolutely feel the same way — the pace has been wild lately. Feels like if you blink, you miss another “game-changing” partnership or protocol drop 😅
For me, a few things actually stood out beyond the hype:
-
Reddit sunsetting their blockchain-based avatars while brands like Visa and PayPal double down on stablecoin integrations — shows a clear signal of what kind of Web3 use cases might actually have staying power (spoiler: probably not PFPs).
-
The Base ecosystem keeps gaining serious traction, especially with how fast dev tools and consumer dApps are being built on top. It doesn’t feel like just another L2 drop—it’s shaping into a legit ecosystem with real UX improvements.
-
Also, the whole EigenLayer + restaking narrative feels like something worth watching. Yeah, there’s a lot of noise, but the implications for security-as-a-service across chains could be a big unlock.
That said, I’m also seeing a ton of recycled hype: celeb NFTs 2.0, “AI x DeFi” buzzwords with zero real utility, and some chains just launching tokens with no clear roadmap or reason.
So yeah — lots of signal, lots of noise. The trick now is filtering through the headlines and watching who’s shipping quietly, not shouting the loudest.
Curious what others are actually using or excited about?
