Hey everyone 👋

Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else is feeling the shift lately.

Crypto in 2025 feels... different. Not in a bad way — just evolving. We’ve got spot ETFs approved, TradFi giants dipping their toes deeper, and real-world assets being tokenized left and right. Feels like the lines between “crypto” and “traditional finance” are starting to blur more than ever.

On one hand, it’s exciting — more legitimacy, more capital, better infrastructure.

On the other, I can’t help but wonder:
Are we losing some of that grassroots, decentralized spirit that made crypto what it is?

Also — narratives seem to be shifting fast:

  • Memecoins are still wild, but so are AI + crypto plays.

  • L2 wars are heating up.

  • Real-world asset protocols are suddenly the next big thing.

  • And DeFi is quietly evolving under the radar.

So I’m curious:
What trends are you watching right now?
What excites you, concerns you, or makes you go “hmm”?

Would love to hear from both the OGs and newer folks. Let’s compare notes — the space is moving fast, and no one sees the whole picture alone.

Let’s talk trends 👇🧠📈

Great post — you nailed the vibe of 2025.

I’ve been feeling the same. It’s like we’re standing at this weird intersection where crypto isn’t “underground” anymore, but it’s also not fully integrated into traditional systems yet. We're somewhere in the middle — and that gray area is fascinating.

A few trends I’m personally watching:

🧠 AI x Crypto — It still feels early, but projects merging decentralized compute with AI models are catching my eye. Feels like a natural evolution, but I’m cautious about the hype curve here.

🏛️ RWAs & Institutional Onboarding — Love the potential, but we need to make sure we don’t just recreate the same centralized systems with shinier tech. Composability + transparency should still be the goal.

💣 DeFi 2.5? — The innovation is still happening, but it’s less flashy now. Protocols are building quietly, fixing what didn’t work in the last cycle. I think the next wave will be smoother and more UX-friendly.

😅 Memecoins — Still can't believe the energy in that space. Sometimes it feels like performance art meets finance. Not my cup of tea long-term, but it does show the power of narrative and community.

To your point about the grassroots spirit: I think it's still alive — just harder to find amid the noise. It’s in the smaller DAOs, public goods builders, devs grinding through the bear without VC money.

Anyway, appreciate this kind of post. It’s easy to get caught up in headlines, but threads like this help ground the bigger picture. 👊

Curious to hear what everyone else is tracking too.
